CAFCC: Edidiong Ezekiel out of ASFAR 2nd leg clash

Published on: 18 September 2022

Remo Stars of Nigeria's striker, Edidiong Ezekiel will not make the team list for Sunday's second leg CAF Confederation Cup clash against ASFAR of Morocco.

Ezekiel was fielded in the first leg of the preliminary round in Rabat where Remo Stars got a one all draw.

The former Dakkada FC striker however, has not trained since returning from Morocco following a nerve injury.

Coach Daniel Ogunmodede at the pre-match press conference on Saturday spoke on the fitness level of Edidiong Ezekiel, Boniface Nwaeze.

"We presently have two players with injury - Edidiong our striker and Eze with a toe injury from Morocco. Unfortunately we won't have them in the game." He said.

Andy Okpe is also a doubt for the second leg as he still has some issues to sort out with the management of the team.

"For Andy Okpe, I am waiting on the management of the team to possibly have him for tomorrow's (Sunday) game. For now I cannot affirm if he will be available or not based on some issues the management is trying to work out on him presently."

The match starts by 4pm on Sunday, 18 September at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.
