CAF WCL: Bayelsa Queens midfielder makes the group stage best XI

Following are impressive performances for Bayelsa Queens in the group stage of the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League, Anjor Mary-Magdalene has been named among the best XI from the stage, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Mary scored Bayelsa Queens' first goal of their maiden campaign in the tournament in their 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies in the opening group game.

She is the only player who made the team from the Nigerian side.

Host AS FAR of Morocco dominated the team released by CAF with 5 players, followed by Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who have three players.

TP Mazembe Ladies and Simba Queens like Bayelsa Queens have one player each to complete the team.

Action will resume on Wednesday as Bayelsa Queens face host ASFAR in one of the semifinals while Mamelodi Sundown Ladies face TP Mazembe Ladies in the other semifinal clash.
