Rivers United forward, Nyima Nwagua, emphasizes the team's concentration on their CAF Confederation Cup journey, eyeing success as they prepare to face Academica Petroleos de Lobito in Angola, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Pride of Rivers, led by Stanley Eguma, demonstrated their prowess with a resounding 3-0 victory against the same opponent previously at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Currently occupying third place in Group C with six points, Nwagua asserts the team's determination to secure advancement in the competition, stating, “Right now the team is focused on the task ahead in Angola."

“We have to build on the performance in the league because we will have no excuse than to get it right in Angola.”

With Club Africain and Dreams FC leading the group with nine points each, APC Lobito trails at the bottom with no points, offering Rivers United an opportunity to further solidify their position.
