Striker Kwesi Appiah says the Black Stars players are doing their best to fit into the playing style of coach Avram Grant.

The ex Chelsea boss employed a 3-5-2 formation for the Black Stars during their friendly matches ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

This formation is new to the Back Stars players who are used to the traditional 4-4-2 formation.

Grant promised an attacking style of football upon his appointment as coach of Ghana.

The Black Stars players have had to make major adjustments to their style of play to ensure they fit into the 56-year-old’s philosophy.

New boy Kwesi Appiah says the players are doing their best to fit in.

"[Grant] has got very clear ideas of how he wants the team to play, and the style with which he wants us to perform,” he said.

“All the players have taken to what he’s been saying, and trying their best to carry it out on the field.

“That’s the important thing, people buying into how he’s trying to make us play.”

Hope Kwesi Appiah becomes the new Junior Agogo. Be at the right place at the right time to knock in the goals and where you play your club football will not not matter. Wishing the Black Stars good luck.
