Ghana's AFCON star defender Abdul Baba Rahman returned to action for Augsburg and played full throttle in their painful 3-2 loss against Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.

The 20-year-old walked straight into the Augsburg team and claimed his starting role and completed the entire duration of the game.

Augsburg boss Markus Weinzierl missed the Ghana international for over a month due to the African Cup of Nations tournament as he played a crucial role for Ghana who were finalist.

Baba gracefully played at lateral defence, supplying important cutting passes and making crucial tackles but Augsburg conceded three goals and scored twice which means they lost the game.

The game was his 18th league appearance of the season for Augsburg.
