Certified results from the medical examinations conducted on the 29-year-old came clean but were delivered late on Thursday to see the planned signing-on ceremony put behind for another day.

Gyan had arrived in Shanghai on Wednesday from Dubai and was immediately expected to undergo the medical.

The signing-on ceremony and official press conference to announce Gyan’s move has ow been set for Friday.

Gyan has played for Udinese, Rennes and Sunderland prior to his move to the UAE where he was an immense success over a four-year period.
