Arsenal's Hector Bellerin Expected to Replace Dani Carvajal in Spain's Euro 2016 Squad

Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin is expected to be included in Spain's squad for the forthcoming European Championship, if Real Madrid's Dani Carvajal fails to prove his fitness to national team coach Vicente del Bosque, according to "?TalkSport."?

Los Blancos star Carvajal suffered an injury during their Champions League final victory over arch-rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening, and could now very well miss the tournament.

Bellerin, who has been Arsenal's stand-out player, despite a very indifferent campaign for the Gunners, only made his debut for the reigning European champions in Sunday's 3-1 friendly victory over Bosnia after a host of Real and Atletico players were unable to partake following their recent game.

The 21-year-old was originally named on the standby list for the European finals, but could now find himself on the plane to France after Carvajal's injury.

Vicente Del Bosque, speaking to the media on Sunday, said: "It all depends on what the medical staff say about Carvajal's fitness.

"Bellerin will stay with the squad until we know the extent of Carvajal's injury.

"I also considered [Villarreal defender] Mario [Gaspar], but we have to remain consistent and bear in mind this training camp was in order to prepare for the Euros. That's why Bellerin will stay with the squad."

The Spanish sensation has recently been the subject of "?intense media speculation regarding to return to La Liga champions Barcelona.
