Arsenal Star Risks the Wrath of Gunners Fans by Tipping Chelsea to Win the Premier League Title

Jack Wilshere has risked incurring the wrath of Arsenal fans after claiming Chelsea look most likely to win the Premiership this season.

Wilshire is currently on loan at Bournemouth and played against Chelsea on Boxing Day, suffering a 3-0 defeat.

The Blues performance must have impressed Wilshire, who told Goal that he thinks Chelsea are playing like potential champions.

"They look like champions at the minute, for me at the moment they're the best team in the league."

Chelsea have won 12 league games in a row, and are just three short of breaking the record for most successive Premier League wins.

Yet despite this impressive run of form, and the fact that Chelsea are six points clear at the top of the table, Wilshire doesn't believe the title is done and dusted quite yet.

"There's still a long way to go of course," Wilshire said. "You can't say they're definitely going to win the league but at the minute they look like the strongest. They've found this new formation that works for them.

"They're more ruthless," he continued. "They know what the job in hand is, they go out there and week in week out, they change their game plan depending on who they are playing. I think that's the sign of a top team."

Wilshire's remarks will most probably not be well received by Arsenal fans, who may worry Jack received a Chelsea scarf from Santa this year.

The Arsenal loanee has played all bar two of Bournemouth's league matches this season and has recaptured some of the form that saw him receive so much publicly when he first broke into the Arsenal first team.

Despite that, the England international is still without a goal for the Cherries and has provided just one assist this season.

It is still unclear whether Wilshire will be returning to the Emirates next season, but he can only hope Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal squad look kindly on these recent comments."?
