Agent Confirms Inter Discussions Over Antonio Candreva Transfer

Published on: 16 June 2016

"?Antonio Candreva is currently doing his bit for Italy in the Euro 2016 tournament. But whilst the player tries to prove himself on the international stage, his agent is back in Italy, conjuring a potential deal with Inter Milan for next season.

The 29-year-old enjoyed a fairly successful bout with Lazio last season, picking up 10 goals in 28 appearances for the club and helping them secure 8th place in the Serie A table. His performances haven't gone unnoticed, and his agent has recently shed some light on Candreva's future.

Despite ongoing negotiations with Inter's manager Roberto Mancini progressing quite slowly, Candreva's agent told "?FCInter1908 that: "We are working find an agreement. Although, up until now we haven't succeeded. At the moment it's impossible to indicate the timing of a deal, I have no idea."?

He also added: "There is also Napoli, and I think AC Milan will also come with an offer."?

This could be typical agent tactics of course - an attempt to hurry Inter into making a decision on Candreva. If the effective play-maker can keep up his performances for Italy in the Euro's though, it remains possible that several Serie A giants could become interested.

Candreva put in a brilliant performance against Belgium, coming up with one of the assists in the 2-0 victory over Belgium. This was one of the upsets of the tournament so far, with a lot of Italian pundits labelling their own team as unambitious and devoid of star quality.

Candreva also featured in Italy's 1-0 win over Sweden on Friday, as potential new club-mate Eder popped up with a late winner.
