Chris Danjuma, head coach of the Falconets, has expressed unwavering confidence in his team's ability to advance to the final of the women's football event at the 13th African Games, asserting that Uganda will not impede their progress, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The defending champions are set to face Uganda in the semi-final at the Cape Coast Stadium on Monday.

With a flawless record in the competition, having secured victories against Morocco and Senegal in the group stage, the Falconets are poised for success.

Danjuma emphasized his team's determination to reach the final and clinch the gold medal, highlighting their championship mentality.

“My expectation here is that we came with the mentality of champions and we want to go to the world Cup as champions in Africa and the only way to become champions is to make sure we take every match as a final,” Danjuma told the media as per Daily Post.

In another semi-final encounter, hosts Ghana are scheduled to square off against Senegal, promising an intense battle for a spot in the prestigious final.
