African Games '23: Falconets seal last 4 qualification after huge win over Senegal

Nigeria U-20 Women National team recorded their second win of the games after a thumping win over Senegal on Monday to secure qualification to the next round of the competition, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Goals from Loveth Edeh, Motunrayo Ezekiel, Chioma Olise and an own goal ensured a whitewash of the Senegalese at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Edeh opened scoring after 13 minutes of the encounter to start a potential rout as the first half ended 1-

Ezekiel who came close to scoring in the first half finally did 5 minutes after the restart of the game as she made it 2-

A minute later, the Falconets were 3-0 up as after an own goal by the Senegalese.

Chioma Olise added the fourth off an brilliant build up from Chiamaka Okwuchukwu 10 minutes to the end of the encouounter as the Nigeria ladies secured a last 4 place in the ongoing African Games in Ghana.

The Falconets played 2 matches in the group after the withdrawal of Cameroon from the tournament.
