Sivasspor forward, Ahmed Musa has reaffirmed the Super Eagles' determination to clinch the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations title, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The three-time champions, considered among the favorites, are confident in their quality to emerge victorious in Cote d'Ivoire.
Musa, a key figure in the 2013 AFCON-winning squad, expressed belief in the team's potential, emphasizing their mindset and coach's target to secure the title.
“We have the quality to win it, if you see the players in the 25-man squad, you can’t say we are not going to win.
“You know in football anything can happen, but we have the mindset to win it.
The coach has already said his target is to win the AFCON and by God’s grace we are going to win it.” Musa said.
Nigeria's Group A fixtures include matches against hosts Cote d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau, with their first game against Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea scheduled for Sunday, January 14.
