AFCON 2023: “ We give all to get point against Nigeria” Mané

Guniea-Bisssau midfielder, Carlos Mané has reveled the Syli National will not lay low for the Super Eagles to run over game both team meet on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Baciro Cande’s side have been the whipping boys of Group A at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations losing to hosts Côte d’Ivoire and Equitorial Guinea.

But as they plan to face Nigeria at the at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, the 29 year old insist his team will play “to get points against Nigeria.”

 

“We will try to get points against Nigeria. I will say they are a very good team, very good players. They have also good coach,” Carlos Mané said. 

Of cause, we know it’s very difficult to go to the next stage but we will play for our family, our country and we give all to get point against Nigeria.”

A draw for Nigeria will be enough to see Jose Peseiro’s team proceed to the knock out stage having drew their first game and triumphed over the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire.
