Semi Ajayi, the West Bromwich Albion defender, expresses confidence in the Super Eagles' ability to rectify their performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Despite a lackluster display against Equatorial Guinea, Ajayi believes the team will overcome challenges in the upcoming clash against hosts Cote d’Ivoire at the Alssanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan, on Thursday.

Ajayi emphasizes the need for increased clinical finishing and assures fans that the team is committed to improvement for the next game.

“We created a lot of chances but we need to be more clinical and we are working on that to put things right in the next game,” he told reporters.

“We spoke with each other, we know what we need to do to improve and we will definitely put in the work to make sure we get things right for the next game.”
