AFCON 2023 Qualifiers: Big Honour For Me To Wear The Captain Armband Of The Super Eagles - Moses Simon

FC Nantes of France and Super Eagles of Nigeria winger Moses Simon is still in cloud nine over the role he played as the Super Eagles recorded an historic 10-0 win over São Tomé and Príncipe on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet can report.

The winger who functioned as the stand in captain for the side got a couple of assists as the Eagles ran over São Tomé and Príncipe in their matchday 2 of the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers played in Morocco.

Speaking after the achievement, Moses Simon via his social media said:

"Big honour for me to wear the captain armband of the Super Eagles. An historic win for the team as well, to God, be all the glory."

Simon made his debut for Super Eagles in 2015 against the Cranes of Uganda and has has 53 caps already to his name,  scoring 7 goals in the process.
