AFCON 2023: Peseiro shuffles formation, starts Chukwueze and Bassey for Côte d’Ivoire showdown

In a strategic move, Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, announces made changes to his line up for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations clash, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports

Nigeria by 6pm will play the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium in what could be a decider for their stay in the tournament.

Peseiro, after a disappointing 1-1 draw in the opener against Equitorial Guinea, has gone for Samuel Chukwueze, and Calvin Bassey in the starting IX in a suspected 3-4-3 formation.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili keeps his spot in goal line, Willam-Troost Ekong captains the team and star-striker Victor Osimhen will lead the attack.

A win guarantee the hosts, Côte d’Ivoire, a spot in the knockout stage of the biennial competition.
