Guinea captain Ibrahima Traore believes the quarter final clash against Ghana on Sunday will be won in the midfield.

The 26-year-old is fast rising to be the player of the tournament having put in some excellent displays so far in the competition.

The Borussia Monchengladbach man will however be playing against some of the established midfielders on the continent when Guinea faces Ghana on Sunday.

The talented captain recognizes the strength of the Ghana midfield and believes the game will be won or lost in that department.

“The Ghanaian team we know they have great players especially in the midfield area,” he said.

“I know that missing [Kwadwo] Asamoah is one of the problems for Ghana but they have Andre Ayew, they have Badu and all.

“We also have a strong midfield and for sure that will be the key to win this game.”
