FC Ifeanyi Ubah attacking midfielder Stephen Adah is preparing for the oriental clash against neighbours and league leaders Enugu Rangers with payback in mind.

The Anambra Warriors will host the Flying Antelopes in Wednesday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 31 clash at the Gabros International Stadium in Nnewi.

The Warriors were 1-0 losers to the Coal City side in the first fixture clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

Adah said his side are preparing adequately to challenge the league leaders for the three points that are at stake.

“It’s certainly going to be a payback time for Enugu Rangers for their victory in the first fixture clash in Enugu.

“We lost the first leg, so Wednesday’s clash provides us with a rare opportunity to even scores.

“The encounter is not going to be easy, just like any other derby clash, but we are steeling ourselves for the epic clash.

“We are not doing anything extraordinary, but the needful to ensure we claim the whole points.

“Of course, Enugu Rangers have taken their fair share of the points, so Wednesday will be the right time for us to take ours to further boost our position on the league log,” the former Enugu Rangers and FC Taraba hitman told supersport.com.

FC IfeanyiUbah are 10th on the top-flight log with 40 points, eight behind league leaders and neighbours, Enugu Rangers.
