AC Milan make Omorodion priority over another Super Eagles eligible

Serie A outfit, AC Milan have identified Nigerian born teenager, Samu Omorodion as a possible alternative target to Bologna forward Joshua Zirkee, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Italian giant over a week have been in discussion with Zirkee’s camp but the €40M release clause and the  €15M commission demand from his against have watered Milan’s interest.

With this, the Rossonerri have moved to an option in the Atletico Madrid striker who spent last season on-loan at Deportivo Alaves where he scored nine goals.

The 20 year-old who has a current with Atletico until 2028 is also believed to be cheaper option to Zirkee.

While Omorodion and Zirkee represented Spain and Netherland at the youth level respectively, they both are eligible to play for the Super Eagles owing to their Nigerian root.
