Would-be Ghanaian international Elvis Manu has talked about his missed opportunity in Feyenoord's 2-2 draw with Heerenveen which ended his side's hopes in qualifying for next season's Europa League.
The miss, which could have propelled Feyenoord the final phase of the play-offs, was also the one that ended their hopes as Heerenveen progressed to face Vitesse Arnhem.
Manu admits he still can't afford a sleep over the miss which condemn Feyenoord from the play-offs.
"Of that missed opportunity, I can't sleep. If I had scored that we would have progressed to the next stage," he told Fox Sports.
"I also thought that I had the ball within shot, but unfortunately the keeper was there still between. Maybe I had better high than low can aim. But it remains very sinful. I keep fond memories of the Europa League with Feyenoord but unfortunately I won't be playing in it next season," he added.
Manu scored four goals for Feyenoord in their Europa League campaign last season including a sensational goal against Standard Liege.
He contributed 11 goals to Feyenoord's season in all competitions last term.
