Despite going into the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco as the favorite, Super Falcons and Barcelona Feminine striker Asisat Oshoala has stated that the team's main target is the ticket to the 2023 World Cup, Nigeriasoccernet can report.
The goal poacher who like many others currently with the Nigerian senior women's team in Abuja for the their training camp ahead of the Nations Cup starting very early next month said it in a short video released on the social media handle of the team.
"I think the most important thing is to make sure we get the ticket to the World Cup," she said.
“And then to possibly win the tournament. It’s one of the goals we have going into this tournament as a team," she added.
The semi-finalists of the competition in Morocco automatically qualifies for the 2023 FIFA World Cup.
