Alex Iwobi played for 65 minutes for Arsenal who forced Manchester United to a 2-2 draw in a keenly contested clash in Wednesday’s EPL clash at the Old Trafford.
Shkodran Mustafi gave Arsenal the lead after David de Gea made a hash of the save of his header in the 26th minute, but Anthony Martial got hosts Manchester United back on level terms with a close range finish four minutes later.
In the second half, Iwobi was replaced in the 65th minute on his 13th appearance of the campaign for Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette restored Arsenal’s lead three minutes after he came on for Iwobi, but parity was restored again after 74 seconds when Jesse Lingard poked the ball beyond Bernd Leno.
Despite the draw, Arsenal remains unbeaten in 20 games- their best start to a campaign in 11 years.
Manchester United remain eight points behind Arsenal who remain fifth.
At the Molineaux Stadium, Chelsea suffered back to back away defeat in the EPL after they lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Ruben Loftus Cheek scored in the first half for Chelsea but second-half goals from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota in four minutes condemned The Blues to a second league defeat of the season.
Chelsea dropped to fourth position in the EPL table, two points adrift Tottenham Hotspurs who defeated Southampton 3-1 at Wembley stadium.
Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, and Son Heung-min were all on target for Spurs while Charlie Austin grabbed a consolation for the Saints.
At Craven Cottage, Fulham were held to a 1-1 draw in another EPL game by Leicester City who handed starting roles to Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho. The pair played the entire duration of the game.
Aboubakar Kamara scored the opener for Fulham three minutes before the break but James Maddison earned a share of the spoil for the Foxes in the 74th minute.
At Turf Moor, Liverpool came from a goal down to beat Burnley 3-1. Jack Cork scored a 54th-minute opener for Burnley but goals from James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Xherdan Shaqiri earned the Reds a crucial win away from home.
Everton played out a 1-1 draw away with Newcastle United at St James Park. Salomon Rondon’s 38th-minute goal gave the Magpies the lead, but Richarlison drew Everton level with a simple tap-in from close range.
