Watford Observer are reporting that the 27-year-old Nigerian has been on the radar of the club for some time now and the deal is set to be finally sealed.

The defender has played in England before during his youth career, when he spent time at both Fulham and Tottenham and has 42 international caps with the Super Eagles.

He has said goodbye to his teammates and is set to complete a permanent move from the fellow Pozzo-owned club. Troost-Ekong had been an important part of the Udinese squad; recall that he was in the thick of action helping the squad to record a stunning 2-1 victory over runaway Serie A leaders Juventus on July 23.

The Little Zebras claimed all three points at home to the Old Lady as they came from behind to win the game against all odds.
