Alexander Nouri has left Werder Bremen.
Werder Bremen have parted ways with head coach Alexander Nouri after failing to win any of their opening 10 Bundesliga matches this season.
The decision to sack Nouri, who had been in charge just over 13 months, was announced on Monday morning.
The club's under-23 coach Florian Kohlfeldt, 35, is set to take charge for the away match at Frankfurt on Friday.
"Alex was tasked with a very demanding challenge last season, and successfully mastered it. We'd like to thank him for that," Bremen CEO Frank Baumann said in a statement published on the club's official website. "He has what it takes to be a successful coach. I am convinced that he will continue on his path elsewhere."

After a long but successful battle against relegation last season, Bremen remained without a win in their first 10 Bundesliga games this term. Following Sunday's 3-0 home defeat to Augsburg, the club have five points, and currently sit in the relegation zone only ahead of Cologne.
Bremen have only scored three goals this season, but have also just conceded 12, the same as third-placed RB Leipzig.
Their last Bundesliga win came on April 29, when on match day 31 of the 2016-17 season they beat Hertha Berlin 2-0 at the Weserstadion.
Nouri is the third Bundesliga coach to be sacked this term after Andries Jonker at Wolfsburg and Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern Munich.
