Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has had a second operation on the broken right ankle which is set to sideline him for a prolonged spell.
The 27-year-old was stretchered off with the injury during the Gunners goalless Europa League draw with Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.
Both procedures went well, without complications. Danny will now recuperate and start his rehabilitation. It's too early to say how long this will take.

Welbeck had initial surgery on his ankle on Friday with Arsenal boss Unai Emery revealing after Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw against Wolves that he will be absent "for a long time".
And the club have revealed that the former Manchester United hitman has now had further planned surgery to repair the damage.
A statement released by Arsenal read: "Further to sustaining an injury last Thursday against Sporting CP, Danny has undergone a second planned operation on his right ankle.
"Both procedures went well, without complications. Danny will now recuperate and start his rehabilitation. It's too early to say how long this will take.
"Everyone at the club will now be providing Danny with the best possible treatment and support in order to make him fit again as soon as possible."
Arsenal are 6/4 to secure a Top 4 Premier League finish potentially in the absence of Welbeck, while Emery's side are priced at 8/1 to win the Europa League.
