The call by fans of Accra Hearts of Oak for the dismissal of head coach, Herbert Addo, has hit a brickwall as the management of the club intends to keep him for the moment.

Herbert, who has won just one out of three games in the second round of the Premier League, has come under severe pressure from the fans who are demanding his exit.

The pressure became intense last Sunday when the Phobians split points with Inter Allies in a game they were expected to win at the Accra Stadium.

However, the management of the club has refused to succumb to the fans’ demands as their Public Relations Officer , Muheeb Saeed, confirmed to the Graphic Sports that the coach was still at post and would remain as such.

"The fans are demanding that the club return to winning ways and that is what the coach is working on but he has not been fired", he insisted.

Herbert, who took over from Mohammed Polo this season, has struggled to position the club among the top bracket after 19 matches with 256 points.

That notwithstanding, Muheeb said the club was confident that their fortunes would change under the coach and urged the fans to calm down and support him in his quest to rebuild a formidable and winsome Hearts team.
