Igboke was selected by head coach Finidi George as a replacement for the injured Victor Osimhen for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.

The left-back, who has been a regular starter for Rangers since breaking into the first team last season, expressed his delight at the opportunity and promised to make the most of it.

"I'm thrilled to have been given this chance and I promise to be an excellent ambassador of my club, Rangers International FC, and the NPFL," Igboke said.

"I have confidence that it will be a worthwhile experience for me and other home-based invitees, and I hope to make room for more to be invited in the future. With the support of my fans and club members, I shall defend our nation creditably."
