According to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) Nigerian born former legendary goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is now the greatest African goalkeeper of all time beating former Cameroonian goalkeeper Joseph Bell Antoine who previously occupied this prestigious place.

Enyeama was selected based on his outstanding performances for club and country during a career that lasted for almost a decade.
The IFFHS, a non-profit organization based in Germany, ranks the performance of football players and coaches worldwide.

The Nigerian is thus baptized in the hallmark of other great African goalkeepers like Egyptian legendary goalkeeper El Hadary and Cameroonian born Thomas Nkono.
