Victor Osimhen Rescues Lille From Defeat With Goal Number 8 Of The Season, Voted POTM

The goal scoring run of Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen continued against Nimes with the 20 year old scoring ten minutes from time to help his team pick a point against Nimes in a 2-2 draw

Osimhen was booked in the 38 minute with Lille leading 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Loic Remy but they were pegged back when Renaud Ripart level for the visitors from the spot. Nimes took a surprise lead when Kevin Denkey scored to put them 2-1 up.

Lille turned to their top scorer of the season and the Nigerian didn’t disappoint as he struck in the 79th minute to hand his team a valuable draw and in the process took his goal count to eight for the season in all competitions.

He has seven in the league and one in the UEFA Champions League, a tally that earned him the club’s player of the month award which he received just before kickoff.
