Mbappe's was on target in the 2nd half as Real Madrid overcome a resilient Atalanta side 2-0 to lift their sixth UEFA Super Cup trophy.

Atalanta despite being the stronger side in the 1st half fell behind in the with 59 minutes on the clock as Vinicius' exquisite darting run down the left flank saw him reach the byline and slot the ball across the six-yard box for Valverde to tap home, with Madrid turning the heat up at precisely the right moment.

Madrid gained a lot more confidence after the goal creating a couple of chances to increase their tally but denied by Atalanta's goalkeeper.  However, they could only keep the LaLoga champions out for another ten minutes as Mbappe grabbed his first goal. Bellingham's smart pass found the former Paris Saint-Germain star in the box and he made no mistake from ten yards, lifting the ball high into the top corner with his right boot

Lookman, the UEFA Europa League final hattrick goal-scorer could not replicate the performance that put him on the headlines few nights back when he ended Bayer Levrkusen's unbeaten run at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.
