The United States U17 WNT is gearing up for a thrilling showdown against Nigeria's Flamingos, with the West Africans having won all three group games with a staggering nine goals scored and only one conceded.

However, Long remains confident in her team's abilities.

"This is a super talented group of girls and it's been fun so far in the tournament," Long told US Soccer. "We continue to work hard and play well as a team."

Long also recognised the threat posed by the Nigerian side, saying: "Nigeria is a good team, scored a lot of goals in this tournament, but I think we are ready if we stick to the game plan like we always do."

The two teams previously clashed in the quarter-finals two years ago in India, setting the stage for an intense rematch at the CFC Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros.
