According to a report by Marca Claro, Tigres is set to make their first move under Miguel Herrera's reign. The Monterrey side are set to part ways with Uruguayan attacking midfielder Leo Fernandez.

Fernandez, who arrived at Tigres just last year from Toluca, was not able to consistently feature in los felinos starting eleven, and he doesn't seem to be in new manager Miguel Herrera's plans. In two tournaments with Tigres, Fernandez only started 11 games while coming off the bench in the rest, while scoring a single goal. This is a far cry from hi performance at Toluca, where he was able to score 8 goals in just eleven matches for los Diablos

Herrera needs to reduce the number of foreigners in the squad down to 10 players, according to the new LigaMX rules, and Fernandez seems to be the first name on that list.
