The Nigerian International replaced American Christian Pulisic in the 61st minutes with the scoreline at 2-2, a game they eventually lost 3-2 but progressed on a 5-3 aggregate thanks to a 3-0 first leg win at the San Siro.
The win put the Italian giants in the last 16 of the tournament as they aim for their first European glory since they won the 2006/07 UEFA Champions League.
Chukwueze will hope he gets the starting nord over Pulisic when they welcome Ademola Lookman's Atalanta to the San Siro on Sunday for their matchday 26 of the 2023/24 Italian Serie A season.
