Udoji takes Enyimba closer to clinching NPFL title

Chinedu Udoji was the match winner for six-time champions Enyimba in the 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Kwara United as the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) entered match day 35.

Udoji’s goal, which arrived on 22 minutes off an Ezekiel Bassey corner, means Enyimba took the spoils which now brings the total number of points amassed by the Peoples Elephant to 65 from 35 matches.

Giwa FC are on the coattails of Enyimba FC after they won in thrilling fashion against Wikki Tourists at the Rwang Pam Stadium.

The Jos-based club twice clawed back a goal deficit before winning the rip-roaring contest by the odd goal in five.

Giwa FC thus climbed two places on the log and now sit in second place on the general classification with 60 points from 35 matches.
