Udinese Calcio is pleased to announce that Jani Sturm is taking over as the head coach of the club’s Primavera side ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The 39-year-old led the Nk Brda academy in the second tier in Slovenia last year and can also call upon his experience from his stint as part of the technical staff at Nova Gorica.
As a player, besides his time in Slovenia, Sturm played for Dundee in Scotland before finishing his career in Friuli at Manzanese and Valnatisone. Sturm is joined by assistant coach Vincenzo Siciliano, goalkeeping coach Davide Camatta, and fitness coach Andrea Ceccotto.
The Primavera side are in action in a prestigious tournament starting on Thursday in Zagreb, which will see the youngsters face Mtk Budapest, Legia Warsaw and Slavia Prague in the group stage.
