UCL: Odey On Target In Genk Loss To Liverpool; Olayinka Scores Own Goal Vs Barca, Osimhen Caged

Nigeria forward Stephen Odey scored on his UEFA Champions League but ended on the losing side as Belgian champions KRC Genk went down to a 4-1 home defeat to Liverpool, reports Completesports.com.

Odey took the place of Paul Onuachu in the 81st minute and received a yellow card three minutes later.

The young striker scored Genk’s consolation goal two minutes from time.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain bagged a brace for Liverpool with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah getting the other goals.

In another game, Victor Osimhen was in action for 90 minutes as Lille held Spanish side, Valencia to a 1-1 draw at home.

Osimhen has scored one goal in three appearances for Lille in the competition.

At Sinobo Stadium, Peter Olayinka scored an own goal in Slavia Prague’s 2-1 home defeat to Barcelona.

Lionel Messi opened scoring for Barcelona in the third minute, while Jil Boril equalised for the hosts five minutes after the break.

Olayinka’s deflected shot in the 57th minute gave the visitors all three points in the game.

Benfica recorded a 2-1 home win against Olympic Lyon with Tyronne Ebuehi not included in the matchday squad.
