Flying Eagles of Nigeria has defeated, Host nation, Egypt in the African Cup of Nations, AFCON U20 on Wednesday at the Cairo Stadium Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Junior Eagles secured their first win in their second game after triumphing over the Young Pharaohs by a lone goal scored by Solomon Agbalaka.

The Nigerian team were one nil losers to the Junior Lions of Senegal in their first game, but returned to winning ways in their second game, but had to do it the hard way against former champions, Egypt.

After a barren affair in the first phase of the game, the Nigerian team pushed for a goal and the much anticipated goal came after twenty-five minutes.

Agbalaka scored a bullet header from Gombe United's Aminu Mohammed corner to give the Green White Green team the lead and eventually the winner.

At the end of the match, match day goalscorer, Solomon Agbalaka was handed the man of the match award for his display.

Meanwhile, Nigeria's group mate, Senegal continued their impressive performance in the tournament as they defeated Mozambique by three goals to nil.
