Troost-Ekong set to have medical at Salernitana tomorrow

Super Eagles vice captain, Wiliam Troost-Ekong is expected to be a Granata by tomorrow after having his medical and signing a contract with Salernitana in the next few hours.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Salernitana coach, David Nicola is in need of defensive reinforcement and William Paul Troost-Ekong has been identified as a needed quality. Ekong in fact, is preparing to become a Salernitana player.

Also, Salernitana have reached a verbal agreement with Watford owner for a loan move for the former  Udinese Center-back and the player is expected in the city tomorrow for medical visits and to sign the contract.

The 29 year-old already knows the Salernitana coach Davide Nicola, in fact, Nicola worked with him in Udine between 2018 and 2019.

Ekong has made 15 appearances for the Hornets in the Sky Bet Championship this term with a goal to his name.  Dare Ogun
