Ademola Lookman will probably not appear for RB Leipzig this season, but in the Premier League. The offensive man, who was loaned to Fulham FC last season, is said to be on loan to Leicester City.
This is what Premier League expert David Ornstein reported for The Athletic on Monday morning. Accordingly, both the Foxes and RB Leipzig should have a great deal of interest in reaching an agreement. However, some details remain to be clarified in order to finalize the deal by the closing of the transfer window tomorrow, Tuesday. A loan with a subsequent purchase option is under discussion.
Lookman could definitely leave the Bundesliga in a year. The Englishman came to Leipzig on loan in January 2018 and, after strong performances under interim coach Ralf Rangnick, was signed six months later for 18 million euros. Under the two following coaches Julian Nagelsmann and Jesse Marsch, however, he was no longer able to assert himself, so that he probably no longer has a future with the Saxons despite the contract until 2024.
