Everton are allegedly now prepared to meet the asking price for Rangers ace Nathan Patterson – and will not face competition from Liverpool.

The club made a derisory offer for Nathan in the summer, which manager Steven Gerrard laughed off.

He warned them they’d have to seriously up their offer of £5m for the teenager. Ultimately, the Scottish club’s stance meant they retain the services of the right-back.

But they’ll still have fears about the player moving south of the border in the immediate future. It was subsequently revealed that the Reds are also interested in Nathan, who has three caps for Scotland thus far.

But, the situation has now changed, according to a report from The Sun. They believe Jurgen Klopp’s side have pulled out of the race to land Patterson, leaving their city rivals with a clear run. The Toffees could double their summer offer in early 2022 after learning Rangers want at least £10 million for Patterson.
