Transfers: Chidozie Awaziem completes FC Nantes switch from Colorado Rapids

MLS side, Colorado Rapids have traded Nigerian defender, Chidozie Awaziem to FC Nantes with both sides coming to a transfer agreement for an undisclosed fee, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Putting pen to paper on a three year deal, the 28-year old returns to the club after eight years when he was loaned to the club from FC Porto in July 2017, playing 23 matches and scoring once across all competitions.

''When the opportunity presented itself, I didn't hesitate for a single second to come back, because for me, Nantes is like home. The people are lovely, the club is great, and I was really looking forward to returning to this environment", Chidozie said in his interview with the club's media.

"From a sporting perspective, I want to do everything I can to help the Club achieve its goals, win trophies, compete at the highest level against the best teams and bring FC Nantes back to the top.''

He has since joined up with his new side as next season preparations hit full gear.
