The former MFM FC of Lagos star has started in the first two test matches against Helsingør and Viborg and came on the scoreboard in the first.

With less than 14 days until the season premiere, Stephen Odey does not focus on anything other than getting ready for the upcoming season in the Super League. There are always plenty of rumors in the world of football, and so far the connection to the Scottish big clubs is based on nothing but a story started in a Nigerian football media.

"Rumors can spread quickly, but it's not something I want to be distracted by. My agent takes care of everything that may be around the transfer market. I'm not trying to think about it. The important thing for me as a player is to focus on the preparations for the new season," says Stephen Odey to Randers Amtsavis.

"These are big clubs, and it is clear that this is something that I want to be open to. But I'm in Randers FC, and right now that's the only thing that matters. As long as I have not been presented with anything concrete, as I said, I will not let myself be disturbed by it," he added.

"If the right club comes, Randers FC has no choice but to let me go. But I am happy to be in Randers FC, and that does not change the fact that there are some rumors about other clubs. For me, it's about the preparations for the new season with the team I'm part of," concluded Stephen Odey.

Stephen Odey is the most expensive purchase in Randers FC history in the autumn with a transfer fee.

Both Scottish giants in Celtic and Rangers have been in the race to sign the 24-year-old.
