KRC Genk Striker Paul Onuachu is rumored to have caught the interest of Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag as the Premier League manager look to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo departed United after his contract was terminated last November, leaving the Red Devil with only Anthony Martial as a true center forward, and to a lesser extent Marcus Rashford.
The manger earlier revealed that the club will need another striker claiming Martial can not cope with the workload.
“Martial cannot cope at the moment with the load of many matches. That's why we are looking for another striker. It's not that we don't count on him, but it's a physical load that is so high right now that he can't play a 90-minute game every three days," Ten Hag said.
Therefore, according French media outlet, jeunesfooteux, Eric ten Hag has profiled Paul Onuachu as a preferred option even to Vincent Aboubakar, the recent name linked to the club. However, board of directors of Manchester United are not unanimous about the decision.
Onuachu is under contract until 2024 with KRC Genk and the imposing (2.01m) 28-year-old Nigerian striker has already 13 goals in 15 league games.
