Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Jonathan Tah to Barcelona

Barcelona target Tah could leave Bayer Leverkusen for £22.3 million thanks to a release clause. The 21-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to the Catalan club after scouts were spotted watching him earlier in the season. Tah has established himself as one of the Bundesliga's finest defenders since joining Bayer from Hamburg in 2015. Ernesto Valverde is keen to bolster his backline with Thomas Vermaelen and Javier Mascherano tipped to leave the Camp Nou in the summer.

Charly Musonda to Arsenal

Arsenal are plotting a raid on their Premier League rivals as they weigh up a bid for unsettled Chelsea youngster Musonda. The 21-year-old midfielder has reportedly told Antonio Conte that he wants to leave after growing frustrated at a lack of first team opportunities and hit out at the club last month on Instagram. Musonda has run out of patience and is keen to jump ship, with the Gunners monitoring his progress closely.

Luke Shaw to Southampton

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is prepared to let Shaw leave on loan but the out-of-favour left-back would prefer a permanent switch to Southampton. The 22-year-old left the Saints for Old Trafford in 2014 but has fallen down the pecking order under the Portuguese coach, who has publicly questioned his attitude.

Shaw has been restricted to just two Carabao Cup appearances this season and does not figure prominently in Mourinho's plans. A return to Southampton has been mooted as a possible solution, with currents Saints left-back Ryan Bertrand emerging as a Manchester City target.

Miguel Almiron to Newcastle United

Newcastle are ready to battle Arsenal in the race to sign highly rated Atlanta United playmaker Almiron. The Paraguay international has emerged as one of the hottest properties in MLS, scoring nine goals and adding eight assists in 30 appearances. Although the Gunners remain interested, Magpies boss Rafael Benitez is keen to steal a march on rival Arsene Wenger. The Spaniard has been deploying Ayoze Perez in an attacking midfield role this season but is determined to sign a more naturally creative player.

Danny Ings to Newcastle United

Newcastle are also interested in signing Liverpool striker Ings. The former Burnley man has been plagued by injuries since joining the Reds in 2015, but the Magpies may be willing to offer the 25-year-old a chance to resurrect his Premier League career. Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Dominic Solanke are all ahead of Ings in the Liverpool pecking order and it is thought Jurgen Klopp will not stand in his way should he decide to leave. Newcastle need fresh impetus up front, having managed just 10 goals in as many games this season.
