Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain

The possibility of Sanchez moving to Paris gathered momentum after Le 10 Sport reported the club will attempt to sign him as part of a plot to avoid breaching UEFA's financial fair play rules. The Arsenal man is free to discuss terms with foreign sides come January, and PSG want the free transfer to be part of a plan which includes selling Edinson Cavani for big money. Dani Alves also added fuel to the rumour saying: "It would be good if he came with us. I will always appreciate him. I want what is best for him wherever he goes."

Olivier Giroud to Inter Milan

For now, Arsenal are more concerned by players leaving the club rather than coming in. French striker Giroud was an Everton transfer target in the summer and his lack of game time this season, having found himself behind new signing Alexandre Lacazette, will mean he's likely to seek a January move. According to the Mirror, Inter Milan want the 31-year-old to come in and compliment Mauro Icardi. But there could be a few clubs after his services when the transfer window reopens.

Harry Kane to Manchester United

Real Madrid are constantly in the frame when it comes to the rumours surrounding Tottenham and England's best but, according to the Daily Mail, United are willing to match any bid for the goal machine. Jose Mourinho's side already have one prolific goal scorer in the shape of Romelu Lukaku, but the Portuguese manager plans on pairing the two up front in a move which will have Premier League defences quaking in their boots.

Paco Alcacer to Tottenham Hotspur

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde reportedly wants to sell the former Valencia striker, and Spurs could be one possible destination. The north Londoners were heavily linked with the Barca flop when Mauricio Pochettino first arrived at the club from Southampton. Valverde sees the striker as a player the club can get off their books for a reasonable fee and, should they sign him, Spurs will use him as backup for Kane and an alternative to Fernando Llorente.

Dani Ceballos to AC Milan

The former Real Betis midfielder is finding game time difficult to come by at Real Madrid following a summer move with a host of star-name midfielders ahead of him in the pecking order. In order to avoid stunting his development, the club could loan him out in January and AC Milan are at the head of the queue. Vincenzo Montella's side will hope the midfielder can give them a boost going into the second half of the season as they look to return to the top end of Serie A.
