Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel has signed a new contract with the Italian club, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his personal social media account.
The new agreement will keep the 21-year-old Portuguese central defender at Lecce until 2030.
Gabriel came through the youth systems at Sporting Lisbon and Vitoria de Setubal. He played senior football in Portugal for Estrela between 2023 and 2025 before moving to Serie A in 2025, when he joined Lecce. He has remained with the club since then.
The defender was linked with interest from two of European football’s biggest clubs in January 2026, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich both reported to be monitoring him.
During the summer, speculation connected Gabriel with moves to AC Milan and Fulham, clubs considered more modest in European terms than the two sides previously mentioned.
The contract extension now secures his future with the “yellow and reds” until 2030.
