Rivers United head coach, Stanley Eguma revealed his side’s victory over Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Professional Football League Super Six Playoff was a well orchestrated move, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Pride of Rivers defeated Bendel Insurance 2-1 to end the Benin Arsenals’ 21-game unbeaten matches run.
Bendel Insurance before the game have won 12 matches, drew eight. However, goals from Maurice Chukwu and Joseph Onoja ensured Divine Nwachukwu attempt for a comeback died from the start.
”We had a plan going into the game and the players sticked to it. We know they are a quality side but our good plan gave us victory,”Eguma said after the game.
“The game was not easy, both teams came out determined to win. I must commend my boys for playing to instruction."

Rivers United top the standings with eight points from four games and they play Enyimba in their final game.
