Super Falcons beaten again by Asec Mimosas’s U16 side

Super Falcons of Nigeria were beaten 3–1 by Asec Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire U16 male side in an exhibition game as the team continues their preparation for the AWCON in Ghana.

The Thomas Dennerby side who are on eight days training campparaded a strong team for the friday game played at Sol Beni Stadium in Abidjan.

It would be recalled that the Super Falcons also lost their first friendly game with Dominion Hotspur youth side 3-2 at the Atlantic Hall pitch, Epe during their two-week long camping in Lagos shortly before the team departed for Abidjan.

Nigeria have been drawn in Group B and tackle South Africa, Zambia and Equatorial Guinea.

The championship will also be used as qualifiers for Women World Cup in France next year.

Nigeria goes into the tournament as the defending champions after beating Cameroon by a lone goal scored by Desire Oparanozie two years ago.
