The Nigerian side lost 2-1 to Germany in their opening group match and will next face New Zealand revive aspirations to reach the next round.

Aduku suggested that lack of concentration was the Flamingos’ undoing against the European Champions, he however expressed optimism for the next matches.

‘They were less concentrated especially in the first few minutes of the second half and as they could not respond in time the second goal came in.

‘But I believe the girls would have grown in confidence ahead of the next games, because they know how important it would be for them to give a big performance.’

The former U20 Women’s NT coach added that, the Coaches in charge of the Flamingos are experienced enough.

‘If they turn up the positive psychology in the dressing room, then they would “fire” the New Zealanders.’

The Flamingos were drawn in Group B of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with Germany, New Zealand and Chile.
