No Nigeria player made the starting XI of the CHAN 2016 Tournament picked by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Super Eagles, who failed to reach the knockout stage of the CHAN in Rwanda, only had striker Chisom Chikatara on the subs bench.
Chikatara scored four goals including only the second hat-trick ever in the tournament.
Top scorer and MVP was DR Congo’s Mechack Elia, who scored four goals and provided two assists as his country won the competition for the second time.
He was one of four DRC players on the tournament XI.
